CASUAL TWO TONE LOOK IN CORAL AND BLACK

THE COLOUR OF A PINK GRAPEFRUIT

That's how one of my lovely readers recently described this tone. Call it coral or lobster, I love it anyway. And it always makes my skin shine, even on a not so sunny day.

Today I paired my silky camisole from adea with black basics - my ankle length trousers from H&M which I also bought in white and in a printed version (seen here) as they have the perfect fit for me. The rest I sneaked from my daughter's closet: Sandals, bag and jewellery. It is great to have this "extended wardrobe", isn't it?

Previously I have shown you my layering tops from adea a couple of times here, here and here. Without a doubt, I love them - perfect basics and so versatile!



DIE FARBE EINER PINK GRAPEFRUIT

So hat kürzlich eine Leserin diesen Farbton beschrieben. Aber egal ob Pink Grapefruit, Koralle oder Hummer - ich mag die Farbe in allen Schattierungen. Und ich finde, sie bringt meine Haut zum Strahlen, selbst dann, wenn die Sonne gar nicht scheint!

Mein Look heute: Kräftige Farbe zu Schwarz, das heißt, mein ärmelloses Top von adea mit schwarzen Basics. Da mir diese Hose von H&M so gut passt, habe ich sie mir auch noch in Weiß und gemustert (hier zu sehen) gekauft. Den Rest, nämlich Sandalen, Tasche und Ohrringe habe ich mir von meiner Tochter ausgeliehen. Praktisch, wenn man einen doppelten Kleiderschrank nutzen kann ;-)

MY FAVOURITE DRESSES FROM BASLER FASHION

MEINE LIEBLINGSKLEIDER VON BASLER FASHION

In dieser Jahreszeit bekomme ich immer besonders viele Einladungen zu Events, die ich mit meinen internationalen Kollegen feiere - letzten Freitag der Italienische Nationalfeiertag, nächsten Monat folgen der Kanadische und Französische Nationalfeiertag sowie der Amerikanische Unabhängigkeitstag. Alles prima Gelegenheiten, sich besonders hübsch zu machen :-)

Aber trotz Partyzeit dauert es noch ein bisschen bis zur Urlaubszeit und das heißt, auch bei Wärme möchte ich im Büro gut angezogen sein und Kleider trage ich einfach am liebsten, also ist hier ein schicker Officelook angesagt. Ärmellose Kleider, die, wenn nötig mit einem leichten Blazer kombiniert werden können.

Als ich nun von Basler Fashion kontaktiert wurde, über ihre aktuelle Kleider Kollektion zu berichten, mußte ich nicht lange überlegen, denn der Stil passt einfach zu mir! At this time of the year we have a lot of social functions at my work like the Italian Reception last Friday or the upcoming Canada Day, the American Independence Day and the French Bastille Day, all to be celebrated with my colleagues! Plenty of occasions for dressing up :-)
But although the summer party season is in full swing, I still have to think about office appropriate looks before I can enjoy the summer break.

Und auch in der Freizeit, zum Shoppen oder beim Treffen mit einer Freundin zum Brunchen trage ich gerne Kleider und hier gefallen mir die aktuellen Pastellfarben unheimlich gut.

SWING DRESS FOR THE ITALIAN RECEPTION



VIVA ITALIA*


The fashion style of the 50ies inspired me to wear this swing dress for the occasion of the Festa della Repubblica, the Italian National Day. This fabulous event is set up and hosted by my Italian colleagues. Think of fresh antipasti, pasta dishes, icecream from our favourite Italian icecafé in town and a great selection of Italian wine. A red Ferrari as well as a tiny Fiat Cinquecento parked in front of the venue added extra Italian lifestyle! I actually should have gone there on a classic scooter with my daughter on the backseat ;-)

My dress is not quite from that time but nevertheless old, I bought it on ebay several years ago and ever since it was hanging in my wardrobe with the pricetag still on! The sheer details at the top and the rose prints prove that black can look very summery and the light fabric is ideal for a party evening.

I have always liked swing dresses on other bloggers and I already had a closer look at some dresses by modcloth - they have an incredible selection of retro type dresses and I wonder how much longer I can resist...

Alena finished her year at London College of Fashion with great success and will spend the summer with me before she will go back for her "Fashion Communication and Promotion" BA course at Central Saint Martins in London starting in September. It is wonderful to have her at home and I am incredibly proud of her :-)

VIVA ITALIA*


Die Mode der 50er inspirierte mich, dieses Kleid anlässlich des italienischen Nationalfeiertages, der Festa della Repubblica zu tragen. Meine italienischen Kollegen, die diese Party jedes Jahr wunderbar organisieren, verwöhnten uns mit leckeren Antipasti und verschiedenen Nudelgerichten, gutem Wein, hervorragendem Eis von unserer Lieblingseisdiele im Ort und Berge von Nutella und Süßigkeiten für die Kinder! Und auf dem Parkplatz reiht sich Ferrari neben einen Fiat Cinquecento - eigentlich fehlte nur eine Vespa mit meiner Tochter auf dem Rücksitz ;-)

Mein Kleid stammt zwar nicht aus den 50ern, ist aber dennoch alt, ich habe es vor ein paar Jahren bei ebay gekauft und seither hing es noch mit Preisschild im Schrank.Trotz Schwarz wirkt es durch den Rosendruck und die transparenten Einsätze passend für diese Jahrezeit und das leichte Material ist herrlich für einen Sommerabend!

Schwingende Kleider haben mir bei anderen Bloggerinnen schon immer gut gefallen und modcloth hat eine unglaubliche Auswahl in diesem Retrostil - und versendet nach Deutschland...

Alena hat ihr erstes Jahr am London College of Fashion mit Topresultaten beendet und ist den Sommer über hier bei mir. Im September beginnt sie ihr BA Studium "Fashion Communication and Promotion" am Central Saint Martins in London. Ich bin so glücklich, dass sie die nächsten Monate zuhause ist und bin wahnsinnig stolz auf sie :-)

STYLE MIX: GOLDEN LACES & WHITE SHIRT



AND THE OSCAR GOES TO...

For this look I had two great role models! A white shirt from Gap paired with a long Vera Wang skirt made an impressive appearance when Sharon Stone wore it at the Oscars' back in 1998. At that time it was a new and very unusal style, nowadays we have incorporated a style mix into our way of dressing.

Another gorgeous woman, my bloggerfriend Cla of glam up your lifestyle showed her fabulous version just recently. Today it's my turn - usually I wear this lace skirt with black but to give it a fresh touch for spring, I find white is a much better option.

This is the time when I have a lot of social events and parties on my agenda and I am looking forward to the Italian Reception this Friday together with my daughter Alena. She is back from London for her summer break and although there are still piles of of yet unpacked stuff and laundry, we enjoy the time and going out together is a great mother & daughter experience! I'll post photos next week and of course on Instagram.


AND THE OSCAR GOES TO...

Für meinen heutigen Look habe ich mir gleich zwei tolle Frauen als Vorbilder genommen! Könnt Ihr Euch an Sharon Stone's Oscar Look 1998 erinnern, als sie eine aufsehenerregende Kombination eines langen Vera Wang Rocks mit einem weißen Männerhemd von Gap trug? Damals war die Zusammenstellung aus formell + lässig noch neu, heute gehört ein Stilmix schon zum guten Ton.

So auch bei meiner wunderbaren Bloggerfreundin Cla von glam up your lifestyle, die kürzlich ihren schwarzen Spitzenrock mit einem Hemd kombinierte und mich zu meinem heutigen Look inspirierte. Normalerweise trage ich diesen goldenen Spitzenrock mit Schwarz, aber für diese Jahreszeit finde ich Weiß viel passender und frischer.

Um diese Zeit gibt es bei uns viele Veranstaltungen und zahlreiche Einladungen. Diesen Freitag gehe ich mit meiner Tochter, die gerade aus London zurückkam und jetzt Semesterferien hat, zur Feier des Italienischen Nationalfeiertages. Noch liegen zuhause zwar Berge an Wäsche und nur teilweise ausgepackte Koffer, aber wir genießen die Zeit. Solche Events gemeinsam zu besuchen, ist einfach schön! THE MOST COMFORTABLE PENCIL SKIRT

The sun came out after a long grey and rainy period! My friend Véronique spent the weekend with me and jumped in as my photographer before we went out for a nice breakfast and some shopping in my neighbour town Garmisch-Partenkirchen.


The weather now allows me to wear dresses and skirts again, albeit with my pale legs... For a while I meant to show you my new blue stretch skirt sent over by ISABI. I love working with them and have already shown you my bootcut jeans and my wide shrug. The jersey skirt creates a smooth silhouette and the deep elastic waistband makes it so comfortable for a day at the office. 

I paired it with a soft blouse with paisley prints from French brand Etam. It is a bit longer, more like a tunic and also looks great over a pair of white skinny tousers or capris and flat sandals or espadrilles for a real summer feeling (well, one day... still waiting for that!)

DER BEQUEMSTE BLEISTIFTROCK

Endlich kam die Sonne raus und meine Freundin Véronique und ich haben ein schönes Wochenende zusammen verbracht - Brunch in Garmisch und anschließend noch ein bisschen Shopping. Die gemeinsame Zeit ist einfach immer wieder schön! Und sie war auch so nett und hat noch ein paar Fotos für Euch gemacht.

Nun kann ich auch wieder Kleider und Röcke tragen, nur meine blassen Beine müsst Ihr mir nachsehen... ich denke aber, das geht vielen von Euch so! Cla von glam up your lifestyle hatte erst kürzlich über Selbstbräuner berichtet und ich sitze hier gerade mit eingecremten Beinen ;-)

Heute kann ich Euch auch endlich meinen neuen dunkelblauen Stretchrock zeigen, den mit ISABI geschickt hat. Unsere Zusammenarbeit ist immer wieder super und ich hatte Euch schon meine Bootcut Jeans und meinen weiten, seidigen Cardigan vorgestellt. Die Silhouette mag ich einfach und der unheimlich bequeme Stretchanteil und Elastikbund sind perfekt, wenn man im Büro am Schreibtisch sitzt.

Dazu trage ich eine ganz angenehm weiche Bluse mit Paisleymuster der Französischen Marke Etam.Sie hat eher Tunikalänge und sieht daher auch super zu weißen Skinnies oder einer Caprihose aus. Dazu flache Sandalen oder Espadrilles für einen klasse Sommerlook (naja, von sommerlichen Temperaturen und Urlaub träume ich momentan noch...)
