Eben bin ich aus London zurückgekommen – es war wieder so wunderbar! Ich war jeden Tag unterwegs – mit meiner Tocher, mit meinen UK Bloggerfreundinnen, mit Freunden und allein. Und wie immer fiel es mir so schwer, zurückzufliegen…

Ein paar Eindrücke habe ich Euch schon hier auf Instagram gezeigt, ausführlich werde ich Euch demnächst über das fantastische 30-40+ Bloggermeeting berichten, das von meiner Freundin Catherine von Not Dressed as Lamb organisiert und von HOPE Fashion gesponsert wurde.

Vogue

Die Vogue lese ich nur selten, aber bei meiner Recherche habe ich dieses Zitat aus dem Jahr 2011 gefunden und den Eindruck, es geistert immer noch in manchen Köpfen. Für mich sind Jumpsuits, von denen ich mittlerweile 3 habe, nicht unpraktischer als viele Bleistiftröcke! Und außerdem: „Praktikabilität“ ist eh so ein Thema, das ich beim Kleidungsstil in Deutschland leider nur allzu häufig sehe… Für mich ist es wichtig, dass etwas zu mir passt, dass ich mich darin wohlfühle, Kleidung muss angenehm zu tragen sein! Praktisch ist für mich bei einer wind- und regenfesten Outdoorjacke wichtig oder bei Khakis, bei denen ich die Beine mit einem Reißverschluss abmachen kann – und zwar beim Wandern, denn ich trage sie weder ins Büro, noch zum Weggehen 😉

Simples Styling – große Wirkung

Meinen schwarz-weißen, langärmligen Overall, den ich schon länger im Auge hatte, fand ich kürzlich im Mango Outlet auf nur 19€ reduziert und habe natürlich nicht lange überlegt und ihn bestellt. Meine erste Tragevariante ist elegant zum abends Weggehen – dazu trage ich schwarze Pumps und eine klassische Clutch mit Schlangenprägung.

Einfacher geht ein Styling kaum, oder? Also für mich stellt ein Overall wirklich keine Herausforderung dar. Wenn ich weitere Anregungen sucht, schaut einfach bei meinen früheren Stylings!

Zumindest in der Hinsicht sind Overalls also wirklich praktisch, oder?
Und die zweite Herausforderung lt. Vogue, eine Marlenehose, zeige ich Euch übrigens demnächst auch hier.

It’s a ’no‘ from me to these statements. I agree to the extent that I have to open the front buttons and/or zippers and take off the upper part when I go to the loo rather than just pull down a pair of comfy jeans. However, I wouldn’t consider that as an issue since I find a pencil skirt with a tucked-in blouse equally impractical! And it will certainly not restrict me from wearing it… after all, I don’t queue at the restrooms all the time.
Funny episode: Last week I watched the Europa League final at a big London pub (great atmosphere until we received the equalizer…) and it was probably the only time men had to queue while the ladies‘ room was completely empty!!!

Effortless elegant styling

I recently found this black and white jumpsuit reduced to only £24 on Mango Outlet (still available in all sizes; unfortunately it is more expensive in the US.) Today I am wearing it with my black suede heels and a classic snakeprint clutch for an elegant look.
