VIVA ITALIA*
The fashion style of the 50ies inspired me to wear this swing dress for the occasion of the
Festa della Repubblica, the Italian National Day. This fabulous event is set up and hosted by my Italian colleagues. Think of fresh antipasti, pasta dishes, icecream from our favourite Italian icecafé in town and a great selection of Italian wine. A red Ferrari as well as a tiny Fiat Cinquecento parked in front of the venue added extra Italian lifestyle! I actually should have gone there on a classic scooter with my daughter on the backseat 😉
My dress is not quite from that time but nevertheless old, I bought it on ebay several years ago and ever since it was hanging in my wardrobe with the pricetag still on! The sheer details at the top and the rose prints prove that black can look very summery and the light fabric is ideal for a party evening.
I have always liked swing dresses on other bloggers and I already had a closer look at some dresses by modcloth – they have an incredible selection of retro type dresses and I wonder how much longer I can resist…
Alena finished her year at London College of Fashion with great success and will spend the summer with me before she will go back for her „Fashion Communication and Promotion“ BA course at Central Saint Martins in London starting in September. It is wonderful to have her at home and I am incredibly proud of her 🙂

Die Mode der 50er inspirierte mich, dieses Kleid anlässlich des italienischen Nationalfeiertages, der
Festa della Repubblica zu tragen. Meine italienischen Kollegen, die diese Party jedes Jahr wunderbar organisieren, verwöhnten uns mit leckeren Antipasti und verschiedenen Nudelgerichten, gutem Wein, hervorragendem Eis von unserer Lieblingseisdiele im Ort und Berge von Nutella und Süßigkeiten für die Kinder! Und auf dem Parkplatz reiht sich Ferrari neben einen Fiat Cinquecento – eigentlich fehlte nur eine Vespa mit meiner Tochter auf dem Rücksitz 😉
Mein Kleid stammt zwar nicht aus den 50ern, ist aber dennoch alt, ich habe es vor ein paar Jahren bei ebay gekauft und seither hing es noch mit Preisschild im Schrank.Trotz Schwarz wirkt es durch den Rosendruck und die transparenten Einsätze passend für diese Jahrezeit und das leichte Material ist herrlich für einen Sommerabend!
Schwingende Kleider haben mir bei anderen Bloggerinnen schon immer gut gefallen und modcloth hat eine unglaubliche Auswahl in diesem Retrostil – und versendet nach Deutschland…
Alena hat ihr erstes Jahr am London College of Fashion
mit Topresultaten beendet und ist den Sommer über hier bei mir. Im September beginnt sie ihr BA Studium „Fashion Communication and Promotion“ am Central Saint Martins in London. Ich bin so glücklich, dass sie die nächsten Monate zuhause ist und bin wahnsinnig stolz auf sie 🙂

wie konntest du nur… wie konntest du nur dieses schöne Kleid die ganze Zeit im Schrank hängen lassen ohne es zu tragen. 😉 Es sieht bezaubernd an dir aus. Kleider mit transparenten Einsätzen mag ich sehr und dieses ist besonders toll Stück.

Why on earth was this dress in your closet for so long?? It looks so good on you!! Of course you styled it well with shoes and (great) clutch and jewellery. But I know you would . Wow du sieht einfach nur bezaubernd aus liebe Annette. Ich kann es gar nicht fassen, dass du dieses wunderschöne Kleid so lange hast verstauben lassen. Der Print und auch das Dekoltee schauen sehr feminine und elegant aus.
