Let it snow! Staying warm in a downcoat

WINTER – LET IT SNOW!

Staying warm in a down coat

I know a lot of people who love snow and think it is „so romantic!“
Well… kind of… if you live in a warm climate and are not used to it, it certainly is a lovely change and you will most definitely enjoy it!
Also if you are a keen skier as many locals are. I have been on skies the first time when I was 5 years old and only gave it up a couple of years ago as I simply didn’t enjoy it any longer.
We have a lot of tourists in our area and what do you expect when you come to the Bavarian mountains in January? Snow of course! I’d also hope for bright sunshine and don’t mind humidity when I am on holidays in Florida (although a friend who lives there permanently, understandibly complains about the lack of fresh air and cooler temperatures!)

Personally, winter and I will never become friends and I can’t wait for spring!
However, winter started very late this year and currently I am getting out all my downcoats, gloves and warm scarves which were hiding in my wardrobe since the start of this season.

My coat from Zara which I especially love for its light downs as well as the colour which is a mix of gold, beige and olive – it is a bit hard to see due to the lack of light when we took these photos yesterday. Of course when I am outside for a longer time (aka „in real life“) I wear thick winter boots with a proper grip and warm gloves. You should see me tomorrow morning around 7am clearing my car from the new snow 😉

Personal Statement:
The collar of my coat is made of real rabbit fur. I am vegetarian and don’t buy real fur any longer. However, my coat is at least 12 years old and in top condition, therefore I will still wear it.
