Wie Ihr wisst, liebe ich London über alles (und würde am liebsten dort leben), außerdem geht für mich nichts über Sommer und ich genieße die sonnigen Tage auf der Terrasse in meinem kleinen Garten. Es sind diese kleinen Dinge im Leben, die so wichtig sind! Es ist einfach herrlich, wenn es um mich herum blüht und ich abends ohne Jacke mit meinem Glas Weißwein draußen sitzen kann! Der Sommer konnte für mich ewig dauern, ich würde ihm auch ohne Winter nie überdrüssig werden, dessen bin ich mir absolut sicher.
Mode von MADELEINE habe ich Euch bereits öfter vorgestellt, wir arbeiten regelmäßig zusammen, da der elegante Stil einfach super zu mir passt, ich habe Presse Events besucht und habe die Shoperöffnung in Nürnberg mitfeiern dürfen. Diese bedeutendste Gartenschau der Welt (die sogar von der Queen besucht wird!) war unsere Traumkulisse für hochwertige Sommermode. Als wir an die Planung gingen, haben wir alle gehofft, das Wetter würde einigermaßen schön und trocken sein… herrliche Sonnenschein und 27 Grad in der Stadt hatten wir allerdings nie erwartet!!

My regular readers know my favourite city is London (I hope I can live there one day) and no season can top summer for me! My terrace and peaceful little garden are places of recreation and indulgence during the warm months. I wish they’d last for ever as I could do without any winter at all… Sitting there with a glass of wine at night is pure pleasure. As always, it is all about the small things in life, right?
A couple of times I have shown you outfits by German brand MADELEINE fashion as their elegant collection is of high quality and perfectly reflects my personal style. We have collaborated on several occasions (see my timeless black and white look here and my sporty yet elegant autumn outfit here) and I have visited their press events Munich and London as well as their grand shop opening in Nuremberg last year. It is most important for me to only work with brands I genuinely love and feel they represent my style in the most authentic way. This most famous flower and garden show in the UK and perhaps in the world attracts visitors from all continents including HM The Queen and has been the most beautiful backdrop for our photoshoots. When we planned this event we were hoping for some dry weather but of course we never expected bright sunshine and 27C (80F) in the city!
I hope you will take inspiration from beautiful flowers, garden designs, delicious food – and last but not least our individual outfits we have chosen from MADELEINE’s summer collection.

MEIN LOOK IN ROT
Ich habe mich für einen knallroten Hosenanzug entschieden, den ich für verschiedene Anlässe stylen kann, egal ob im Büro oder andere Gelegenheiten. Entweder als Anzug oder getrennt. Toll fand ich, dass ich ihn im Koffer nach London mitgenommen habe und vor dem Tragen nicht aufbügeln mußte! Ich kann die Hose lässig mit einer Jeansjacke oder Lederjacke kombinieren, der Blazer wiederum passt toll zu Jeans oder einer weißen Sommerhose.
Meine silbernen Sandalen und Tasche, sowie mein Schmuck geben meinem Outfit einen edlen Touch. Die Tasche ist übrigens schön groß und geräumig und passt zu so vielen meiner Sachen – ich habe sie ständig in Gebrauch. I went for a bright red touser suit which is ideal for the warmer season for the office as well as other formal occasions. Alternatively I can wear it separately and dress it down. The blazer works well with jeans or white trousers and I can pair the red trousers with a denim or a leather jcket.

Ganz ehrlich: Obwohl 2** Koch Raymond Blanc hier so tut, als ob er mich anschaut… in Wahrheit hatte er nur Augen für Liz 😉 aber ich verzeihe ihm das, denn seine Kochkünste haben uns alle verzaubert! Eine wunderbar leichte Küche mit frischen Zutaten, ich war begeistert, genau mein Geschmack. Lisa und ich hatten die vegetarische Option und Lisa hatte mir auch von seinem Hauptrestaurant und Hotel außerhalb Londons erzählt, das sie als Feinschmeckerin bereits besucht hatte. Ich habe es auf meine Wunschliste gesetzt, denn ich weiß aus Erfahrung, dass ich Lisas Restaurantempfehlungen 100% vertrauen kann!
It appears, master chef Raymond Blanc is looking at me but honestly, he only had eyes for beautiful Liz 😉 I will forgive him since he and his team prepared the most delicious lunch and afternoon tea for us! A very light cuisine only using fresh ingredients which was perfect for a hot summer’s day! Lisa and I went for the vegetarian option and she also recommended his fantastic restaurant and hotel outside of London which she had visited in the past. From my personal experience I know I can 100% rely on her culinary recommendations and will put it on my bucket list!

Wir durften den Tag im exklusiven VIP Bereich JARDIN BLANC verbringen, es war wie eine Wohlfühloase im Gegensatz zum sehr vollen restlichen Bereich der Gartenschau!
Schaut Euch die hübsche – von einem Gewächshaus inspirierte – Tischdekoration an. Frische Kräuter konnten mit bereitgelegten Scheren abgeschnitten und über das Essen gestreut werden. Was für eine klasse Idee!

Wir spent the day in the exclusive VIP area of JARDIN BLANC which felt like a wellness resort compared to the crowded public area of the show!

Natürlich muss ich immer mindestens einmal, wenn ich in England bin, Scones essen! Kennt Ihr den Unterschied, ob die Marmelade über oder unter die Clotted Cream (der typischen Sahne) gehört? Catherine hat es mir erklärt, denn es gibt 2 Varianten, je nachdem, ob man die Scones à la Devon oder im angrenzenden Cornwall isst 🙂

In Devon you have the jam on top of the clotted cream, in Cornwall it is the other way round!

Liebe Annette, deine Outfits sind immer toll und eine Inspiration für mich. Aber dieser rote Hosenanzug schießt den Vogel ab!! Zusammen mit den silbernen Sandalen und der Tasche steht er dir perfekt. This suit is fantastic!! I would buy it instantly but I see how well it fits you. And as I have no hips, it won't look the same on me. And I need a slightly longer jacket. But in you it looks fab. And I am strictly honest here. No flattering. The silver sandals and bag are stellar with it. I might consider those sandals as I love silver. Madeleine does very nice shoewear.

I had a pair of silver sneakers, also from MADELEINE with me as I never thought I could wear these sandales for more than a couple of hours walking around and especially with the high temperatures that day. But I did! I wore them all day and only changed into the comfy sneakers when I left the flower show. Amazing, isn't it? Also considering my bunions, they worked very well – and of course look great!
