Trenchcoat Season

TRENCHCOAT SEASON

Feminine styling of a trenchcoat

Trenchcoat weather arrived! I usually wear my classic beige trenchcoat (seen here in red) but for a couple of years I also have this frilled coat in my wardrobe and it was time to get it out again. The ruffles along the collar and sleeves instantly give it a more elegant, feminine touch opposed to the traditional sporty trenchcoat style.

Underneath I am wearing basics - a black, very light oversized jumper (the only one I have by the way... I usually prefer cardigans) and leggings. With my passion for accessories and details I added my new statement necklace by Charming Charlie, a lovely present from my colleagues Tanja and Gigi. Thank you so much!

I am loving my studded handbag and suede leather boots from Mango both in a warm chestnut brown which is ideal for autumn and so versatile and easy to combine. Actually I couldn't decide on either this pair or the same booties in a snake print and ordered both pairs ;-) Can't wait to wear them!
How about you? Do you buy clothes, shoes or bags in two colours?

Golden October and outdoors sports activities

GOLDEN OCTOBER -  I'M WALKING ON SUNSHINE...

Making the most of our beautiful autumn weather outdoors

Many of you know I am a 100% summer person but I can't hide that I fully enjoy our current sunny and mild October weather which turned nature in a golden beauty. Whenever I can, I spend time outside on my terrace (have you seen my photos of last weekend on Instagram?) and often I go for a walk after work, rest by the little stream daydreaming or sit on a bench and read a book.

The gorgeous little valley where we took these photos is only 10 minutes from my hometown on the way to King Ludwig's Linderhof Palace - see my post in front of the castle here.

Please note I am only dressed for a walk on footpaths and across the fields but not for a hike where you need proper gear and weatherproof clothes. Again and again we have tourists not suitably dressed when they hike our mountains wearing sandals or sneakers! Unfortunately too often our mountain rescue service has to take care of their inconsiderate activities.

All black in leather leggings and a poncho

BLACK IS BACK - LEATHER & PONCHO

My favourite faux leather leggings

Until a couple of years ago, black dominated my wardrobe. Although I am now open to bright colours as well as soft, elegant hues, it is still my favourite colour. I love it in summer when my skin has got a sun tan (my black & golden evening look here) and wear it a lot in the cold season. Sadly temperatures dropped, I have to scrape my windscreen in the mornings and started to get out my coats, boots, sacarves - and also my favourite faux leather leggings.

Autumn trend: Ponchos and capes

I have shown you my outfits with capes here and here, today my black poncho by Bonita makes its first appearance together with my new ankle boots from Mango. I love my black leather platform booties from last year but was now looking for lower heels and I am really happy with these!
Paired with a studded bag it is kind of a cool and fierce look but I softened it with pearl jewellery and made it my own style!

How to wear a tunic dress over leggings

PAISLEY TUNIC DRESS & LEGGINGS

A style for the transitional season

I love dresses and I love bare legs but autumn has arrived here in Southern Bavaria. Although I am really determined not to wear tights yet, I am struggling when morning temperatures are in the low 40s F. Only when absolutely necessary, I wear them and most of the time opt for trousers these days. What's the alternative? Dresses and long tunics over skinnies and leggings? I have tried it!

Tunicdress over leggings

Currently I am looking for a new camel coat and saw this one from H&M's new Conscious Collection. I didn't want to order it online but rather had a look at my local store and was really disappointed - totally different colour and not impressed by the quality at all. Instead I found this paisley dress - too short for me and also not warm enough for this season but I wanted to give it a try and wear it as a long tunic over leggings. Usually leggings are my comfy-at-home look but I felt this dress was long enough to take them out - it is a thicker fabric and they look and feel more like skinnies, yet more comfortable.

Autumn Trend suede & eternal collection jewellery

AUTUMN TREND: SUEDE

Glam up your autumn look with jewellery by eternal collection | *collaboration

Suede is a major trends this season and not only now I am in love with camel and cognac tones (see my suede blazer here.) Recently I saw a young women in this coat but unfortunately missed asking her where she got it from... I was pleasantly surprised when I found it at H&M the other day! It's very soft faux suede and rather a long cardigan or blazer to be worn over a top indoors than a coat that keeps you warm. Mine is a size 36 (US 6) and still very wide, I might take it to my seamstress to have it taken in a bit on both sides.

Autumn is the season of warm golden tones and the jewellery I am wearing today is from eternal collection. It is not the first time I cooperated with this family owned Scottish brand who are known for their outstanding customer service, They are happy to take care of your individual requests and adjust their jewellery to your personal needs and even bespoke. I have been dealing with Carol who represents eternal collection many times and it has always been such a pleasure!
