Legerer Wochenendlook

Wenn ich nicht viel Zeit habe und mich morgens schnell für ein Outfit entscheiden muss, fällt meine Wahl meistens auf Schwarz oder zumindest ist ein großer Teil davon Schwarz. Aber umso mehr, wenn ich mir die Zeit nehme und einen Ausgehlook für abends zusammenstelle - ich werde mit großer Wahrscheinlichkeit auf Schwarz zurückgreifen, alles andere wäre eine Ausnahme.

Schwarz steht mir, ich fühle mich darin gut, stark und souverän. Man sagt immer, man sei darin auf der sicheren Seite und würde kein Risiko eingehen. Das glaube ich nicht, denn für mich ist keine andere Farbe derart vielseitig und daher kombiniere ich Schwarz je nach Laune und Anlass in verschiedensten Stilrichtungen.
Daher trage ich heute schwarze Kunstlederleggings mit einer teilweise transparenten Tunika und dazu eleganten Perlenschmuck. Die Leggings sind von H&M und ich kann sie wirklich empfehlen, denn sie fühlen sich toll an und passen super - momentan sind sie außerdem im Sale!

Meine Heels bezeichne ich übrigens gerne als "Sitzschuhe" - bestens geeignet für den Barhocker! Natürlich nicht um länger darin zu laufen, aber ein bisschen was besonderes muss schließlich auch mal sein, oder? Machen sich außerdem sehr gut auf Instagram... ;-)

I love dresses and I love bare legs but autumn has arrived here in Southern Bavaria. Although I am really determined not to wear tights yet, I am struggling when morning temperatures are in the low 40s F. Only when absolutely necessary, I wear them and most of the time opt for trousers these days. What's the alternative? Dresses and long tunics over skinnies and leggings? I have tried it!

Tunicdress over leggings

Currently I am looking for a new camel coat and saw this one from H&M's new Conscious Collection. I didn't want to order it online but rather had a look at my local store and was really disappointed - totally different colour and not impressed by the quality at all. Instead I found this paisley dress - too short for me and also not warm enough for this season but I wanted to give it a try and wear it as a long tunic over leggings. Usually leggings are my comfy-at-home look but I felt this dress was long enough to take them out - it is a thicker fabric and they look and feel more like skinnies, yet more comfortable.

How do you dress for a party in spring when the weather is cool and rainy, a summery maxi dress isn't quite appropriate and a Little Black Dress is too formal? 

That's what I was facing last week and went for my favourite faux leather leggings and paired them with a printed sleeveless top. Sometimes during the evening I wanted to get some fresh air or sat by the fireplace outside. Then I threw on my blazer - and also took my woolen cape which is always a cosy yet stylish way to stay warm (shown here).

More leather looks, just tell me when you've had enough ;-) While I am waiting for spring (probably for several more weeks... sigh...) before I can get my dresses, skirts and heels out again, I try to make the most of my leather leggings. Styling them in many different ways should give you some inspiration too. And there finally will be a dress... in red... with studs... in my next post!

White is often considered as a summer colour and I don't wear white trousers in winter (not because of any outdated rules but they are not suitable for our weather and climate), but I love white tops or accessories for a very clean look all year round.

Von Leder und Kunstleder kann ich momentan einfach nicht genug bekommen! Jetzt ist die Zeit, Lederleggings zu tragen, bevor ich im Frühling dann endlich wieder meine Kleider, Röcke und vor allem leichte Schuhe aus dem Schrank holen kann. Aber Ihr seht ja die Schneemassen, die wir momentan noch haben und laut Wetterbericht wird es eher mehr und soll kalt bleiben! Ach ja, nächstes Mal zeige ich Euch trotzdem ein Kleid - es ist rot und hat Nieten... wenn wir schon beim Thema Leder sind ;-)

Weiß sehe ich eher als Sommerfarbe und ich würde im Winter auch keine weißen Hosen tragen - nicht wegen überholter Stilregeln, sondern weil es hier für unser alpines Klima und Wetter einfach nicht passend ist. Aber Weiß bei Blusen und Accessoires und vor allem in Kombination mit Schwarz ergibt diesen cleanen Look, den ich neuerdings besonders gerne mag!

When I reflect about my style and look at some older posts, I sometimes cannot relate to certain looks anymore. I have always loved elegant, feminine clothes but over the years I try to incorporate trendier or even edgier pieces. For example, I used to wear dresses and paired them with heels, a blazer and a classic bag. Nothing wrong with that and I still like these looks for certain occasions. However, now I love a style mix and might combine the same dress with a leather jacket and booties! I will still stay true to my personal style but I like the variety and try to keep the right balance.

Today I am not wearing any new pieces but some of them I have for years. For quite a while I don't shop at H&M anymore but I still have a few pieces in my wardrobe. 
The egg shaped coat, faux leather leggings and booties are on trend these days while my ruffled top and pearl jewellery are enough to add a softer touch to my outfit. And when I now look at these photos I think the lace curtains are a perfect match ;-)

My New Year's resolutions are quite average - do more sport and get fit again! I know most of us feel exactly the same and I am more comfortable wearing tunics rather than bodycon clothes at moment ;-)

After the heavy snowfall - see my last post Winter Wonderland and more photos on Instagram - we had windy and rainy weather and by now a huge part of our snow has gone. The forecast shows mild temperatures and sunshine and although winter is certainly not over here in the Alps, I am hoping for two more mild months without snow like last year and can't wait for spring!

Also I can't wait for my hairdresser to return from her Christmas break later this week. My hair has grown fast and I am in desperate need of a new haircut. 

Floral prints often have a romantic or girly touch but this tunic from Zara certainly is not that style, especially when paired with black leather.

Today's look is a combination of my favourite trends:

• Faux leather leggings - my latest addition in burgundy

• Jewel tones - colours of my choice in winter

• Grey - my favourite neutral colour this season

I am wearing my faux leather leggings in black and olive a lot and couldn't resist when I saw these in burgundy! We still don't have any snow here in Bavaria and I can keep on wearing my autumn coats, so I have paired them with a bright colour, my fuchsia coat by Damart and calmed everything down with neutral grey.
